Location
The site comprises a fairly regular parcel of grassland extending to 9.35 acres (3.78 hectares) which is currently used as playing fields.
The site is split by a bund which runs north to south. The eastern part of the site (shown coloured pink on the Landfill Identification Plan) extends to approximately 5.6 acres and is historic landfill. There are various gas vents located within the landfill site.
The site is bound by Heath Lane and residential development to the north, residential development to the east and west and playing fields and a cycle path to the south.
There is a substation in the north east corner which is fenced off from the rest of the site.
There is currently one existing vehicular access point along northern boundary from Heath Lane and a footpath from Belle Vue Road.
