The development will feature open-access laboratories on the ground floor, specialist chemistry labs, and is a strong contender to house the Pandemic Preparedness and Response Laboratories, a crucial step in bolstering public health infrastructure.

With a commitment to environmental sustainability, Hemisphere Two aims to be operationally net-zero carbon. Its design includes:
30% less embodied carbon
30% lower energy consumption
40% reduction in glazing
20% increase in natural ventilation
These elements significantly exceed standard office building benchmarks.

Designed with wellness and accessibility in mind, Hemisphere Two will offer a wellness studio, outdoor workspaces, and 166 secure cycle spaces with e-bike charging stations-all to encourage healthy, sustainable commuting.
Innovation Ecosystem Integration
As part of the Liverpool City Region's Innovation Zone, Hemisphere Two will play a vital role in creating a thriving ecosystem for life sciences and pharmaceutical industries. Through Sciontec AI, it will provide flexible, scalable workspace solutions tailored to the needs of forward-thinking, high-growth businesses.
Timeline
Construction is expected to begin following the completion of Hemisphere One in 2027, aligning with Liverpool's long-term strategic vision to enhance its capacity for world-class laboratory and innovation spaces.
